Presentation:
Our names are Duceac Alexandra and Gherasim Iulia- Aurora and in this project we tried to present the balneoclimateric station of Targu Ocna. We both graduated the University of Geography and nowadays we study the master degree in Tourism and Regional Development.
Gained skills : we both have knowledge in English language, abilities in IT and also driving licence.
Why we have chosen the station of Targu Ocna ?
We have made the decision to choose this station, because it guarantees a great variety of offers. It has a very good environment for the balneo treatment, balneoclimateric, and it makes the tourists available to the curative waters, and a special saline climate favorable for curing the illness of asthma, but not only.
The description of the station Targu Ocna
The balneoclimateric station of Targu Ocna, which has a national and local interest, is situated in the Bacau county in NV of the hollow Casin, at the foot of Berzunti Mountains, at an altitude of 260-280 m along the Trotus and Slanic rivers ,and also at a distance of 60 km away of the Bacau city.
The station has a climate of sedative hills with moderate temperature and it has the amount of 700 mm per year.
Besides this sedative climate, an important cure factor are the mineral waters of the station which sign up in the mineral chlorinated waters, sodium, low bicarbonated and slightly sulphurous are used firstly for the curing of the digestive tract and the locomotor system, also those of hepatobiliary, gynecological and chronic. Within the saline works a sanatorium designed for the treatment of allergic asthm.
Historical
The village counts a population of 13.576 inhabitants. The status of station was assigned in the year of 1894;
Important people who have visitated the station are: Al. I Cuza, M. Kogalniceanu, V.Alecsandri.
Tourism and health
The balneotherapeutical natural factors are the sedative climate, the water springs and saline enivronment;
The microclimate of the Targu Ocna saline, situated at about 2 km away of the city, in the massive of salt Valcele-Slatinele, is recommendated for the curing of the chronical breathing diseases, firstly asthm problems and chronical bronchitis; the treatment schedule includes walkings, joggings, recreation,general and breathing medical gymnast, playful and fun games;
Inside the saline, beside the treatment with naturale saline aerosols, the tourists have the option of various recreation activities, here having sports fields ( basketball, handball,mini-football, tennis, table tennis), pool, and spaces for children to play ( which have swings and slides); it is availabe to visit the church Sf. Varvara, landscaped into one of the galieries of the saline, the Museum of Salt, and various exhibitions of paintings and sculptures in salt, the salty lake and the waterfall, there are also souvenir sales and food products, with terraces, the access to the tourism area or the inside objectives are made with the saline Bus;
The balneo treatment center Parc Magura has a surface of 1.019 mp and includes a base of treatment, with spaces of medical testing, physioterapeutical, maintenance and recovery, but also two outside pools, one for adults and the other one designed for children.

The price of a staying at Targu Ocna varies between the shown conditions and the services included in the price.
Hotel Magura: The price of a night stay is about 130 Ron for a person, with breakfast
and included treatment.
Ilinca Pension: The price of a night stay is about 60 Ron for a person, with all included.
Home Maescu: The price of a night stay is about 50 Ron, with all included.
In the area there is available to visit: The Monastery of Targu Ocna, archaeological site Utidava, the heroical monument on the hill Magura, the first model of oil wells with mechanical drilling, the natural reservation of Magura Targu Ocna.
