Our names are Buta Claudia-Mihaela and Loghin Maria-Magdalena (Tîrnovan) and in the following we’ll try to make a presentation of BălţăteÅŸti spa resort („Dr. Dimitrie Cantemir” Spaphysiotherapy and medical rehabilitation sanatorium). We graduated Faculty of Geography and currently, we are studying MA in Tourism and Regional Development at the Faculty of Geography from Suceava. As regards the skills acquired, we both know two foreign languages, English and French and we have got B category driving licences.
The reason for choosing this resort in the project is given by the location of this, into an attractive natural environment, which along with mineral water springs, recognized worldwide, healthy in treating various diseases, creates a propitious environment for relaxation and rest. And this, in condition in which on the hills near the resort orchards stretch, that offers a fairytale landscape, and forests of beech and fir on the Pietricica Hill. Moreover it can be added that the proximity Văratec, Agapia, HoraiÅ£a monasteries represent a great opportunity for those which aren′t searching only to improve physical health but also to the spiritual.
BălţăteÅŸti spa resort is located in BălţăteÅŸti village, NeamÅ£ county, at a distance of 33km from Piatra NeamÅ£ city and 12 km from Târgu NeamÅ£ city near by an important natural sights („Copper forest”, „Silver forest”) and anthropic sights (BălţăteÅŸti casino dated of the middle of 19th century, Văratec, Agapia, HoraiÅ£a monasteries etc.) of great interest both national and international.
Bălţăteşti spa resort, tought still preserves the footprint of the comunist era, represented by the building arhitecture and interior design, has a treatment base endow with modern medical equipment providing spaphysiotherapy and medical rehabilitation.
Bălţăteşti spa resort is known for its mineral water springs, salts and mud, which include a important quantity of calcium, sodium, chlorine, iron, magnesium, potassium, iodine, composition comparable to Vichy and Karlsbad resorts. The healing properties of the mineral waters are known for centuries but the first researches of its composition and quality had been started in the beginning of 19th century. Over the time, the resort was visited by important personalities of Romanian literature like Vasile Alecsandri, Mihai Eminescu, Mihail Sadoveanu etc but also of music George Enescu.
Now, the resort is under Ministry of Defence and provides care and rehabilitation therapy, physiotherapy, acupuncture procedures, pool hydrokinetotherapy, gym kinetotherapy, aerosols and external bathing procedures for degenerative and inflammatory rheumatic diseases, neurological, gynecological, respiratory and neuroses, but also climatic therapy favoured by the atmosphere rich in negative ions.
BălţăteÅŸti resort has 4 hotels, with a capacity of 500 seats. BălţăteÅŸti**, Ozana** and TopliÅ£a** hotels have an accommodation capacity of 416 seats and Narcisa hotel has an accommodation capacity of 98 seats. Ticket prices is 777lei/7 days per person. The services include 7 – 14 nights accommodation with full board treatment 6 – 12 days, 3 procedures per day and initial medical consultation.
