Presentation

Our names are Midon Tatiana and Bivol Elena, are  first year graduate students at the Faculty of History and Geography, University "Stefan cel Mare" Suceava and we chose to present in this booklet  one of the most important tourist attractions in Maramures, the climatic station Izvoare, the station is at 926 m altitude (32 km from Baia Mare, Maramures county) on a volcanic plateau, surrounded by trees, in the top Ignis in the SW of the Gutai Mountains. Nearby is the picturesque gorge of the Tatars and cocks' combs, a place of legends. The station Izvoare benefit from a climate for recreation or for treating lung or nervous.

The station Izvoare has a climate tonic,  stimulant and an enhanced ionization of the atmosphere, with excellent conditions for rest and recovery. It is known especially for winter sport. Sources skiing has a medium difficulty and is equipped with cable transmission. Also, the entire length of the snowboards can. In summer you can practice and other activities such as horseback riding or hiking. There are places in two hotels (3 stars), and a restaurant.

Mountain lovers can browse a number of tourist routes: cottage Runcu Piesca, under Plesca Mare peak and keys Tatars of Romania only gorge formed in andesite rock (on the trail 3-3 1/2 hours) Breaza tip (on the trail 1-2 hours) tip of Ignis (on the trail, 1-2 hours), with interesting rocks anthropomorphic, the step Paltin, the source of Pintea and the peak Gutaiul Mare (on the trail, 5-6 hours).
