My name is Gajim Irina. I have chosen this spa resort because I visited it twice and each time, I was impressed by the quality of service and the extremely friendly and welcoming staff.

            In the heart of Codri Republic of Moldova, lies the spa resort „ CODRU”, more precisely located in Hirjauca village, district of Calarasi.  It is the first settlement of this kind in Moldova.     

 

 

            „Codru” operates since May 19, 1959, under the name of „SovieÅ£caia Moldavia’’, in the first Balneological Republican hospital from Hirjauca and in the buildings of the old monastery of men. In 1974, there is the cornerstone of a modern building complex - the today resort.

            The singularity of the spa resort: the treatment of gastrointestinal diseases, of musculoskeletal and peripheral nervous system, gynecology.

            Healing factors: hydrocarbonate mineral water, mineral sulphide baths with low concentration, sludge applications, massage, pool, gym.

            The action of spa procedures on the body is a complex mechanism. The local mineral water,  hydrocarbonate sodium sulfate, normalizes the stomach secretory and motor function, showing an antacid action, choleretic, diuretic, favoring the patients recovery and representing the main cure in the gastrointestinal and urological diseases.

        

 

            Baths of sage exert general action on the body, showing the effect of inflammatory, analgesic and anti-allergic, which is due to the chemical composition of sage extract, by improving microcirculation.

           

                 Sludge is brought from Sochi sanatorium. Since the old times, the sludge applications are used in the treatment of musculoskeletal diseases. The mechanism of action consists of the thermal, chemical effect (mineral salts, antibiotics).

 

             The resort has 450 available rooms (35 single rooms, 200 double rooms, 16 suites) .The ticket price ranges from 500 to 750 ro/10 days and include accommodation, meals and 5-7 procedures per day.
